FHYC Race 3

It’s the 3rd FHYC race this weekend with a briefing in the clubhouse at 8.40am. High water is 10:26BST (9.3m) with no lockout but ABP have indicated they may open a little earlier if demand is sufficient. The weather on Saturday is looking quite brisk at the moment with a F5 westerly though that will certainly change! It was an excellent turnout for the 2nd race and Pagets Lady was again the winner, I did originally announce Quest as the victor but I later realised a 10 minute miscalculation in his completed time. I’ll be interested to see how the westerly rather than easterly winds impacts the results.

As usual we have boats looking for crew and crew looking for boats and no experience is needed. So if your interested in getting on the water and need crew or be crew then let me know and I’ll try and sort you out.
I’d appreciate any emails to advise interest.

Over the years the Festival has grown and developed to reflect many different aspects of that relationship, both ancient and modern. Nowadays CRF runs for a full week and offers an array of water-based activities plus shoreside entertainment for all the family.
