FHYC 2nd Practice race

Congratulations to Andy and Quest. Andy sailed another excellent race single handed to record 2 wins in succession. The weather conditions were superb with a steady northerly wind approx 18Kn. A total of 5 boats entered this final practice sail.

Berth Holders Meeting-revisited !!

Only just over a week to go to the meeting with ABP to discuss Berth Holders matters. Any comments, good or bad, as to how ABP are doing ?. If there are any issues you would like to be addressed then please say. Guy is a very amenable and friendly person who has the interests of the Berth Holders close to his chest. No comments means everyone is happy ?

As yet there are NO concerns, is that true ??

FHYC 1st Practice race

Congratulations to Andy on “winning” the first race of this years series. Andy was on his own yacht, Quest. He was one of 3 yachts out of 6 that sailed single handed in what turned out to be a quite testing and challenging course due to the weather conditions of the day. FHYC would love to see as many boats out on the water for races as possible. This club is very keen on competitive AND friendly racing.

If anybody fancies racing and has no, or limited, experience then please don’t despair. All the courses set by FHYC are achievable and do test the mettle of the boat and crew !! This is an excellent way to improve boat handling skills in a friendly and exciting way. Please do mention to your insurance company that you intend to race. The increase to your premium is really quite negligible and does give you piece of mind. If you would like to know more or would like an informal chat please reply below
